You Asked For This!!!

5 pax were completely crazy and decided to post on this beautiful 54 degree rainy morning.

PAX- TacoCat, Captain D, Neo, T-Bone

Q-Mcfly

As I drove down from Carthage this morning thinking to myself “why am i driving in this rain and who in their mind would even show up in this.” I got my answer. There stood the faithful 4 ready for a good beat-down, and who would I be to not deliver.

We started with a warm-up lap around the park and circled up on the basketball court. during the warm-up lap I may have caught wind of some chatter saying that it’s OK Mcfly will keep us dry by the train station to which I replied “You Asked for This.” If you show up in the rain we workout in the rain.

We fully embraced the suck!!!

warm-up was as followed

  • 20 side straddle hops
  • 10 cotton pickers or today known as water scoopers
  • 10 windmills
  • 10 merkins

We then ran down towards the train station with gleam in his eyes and a slither of hope we saw Captain D’s spirit fall as we continued on past over to the small field across the street for

  • 15 more merkins
  • and 11’s from one side walk across the field to the next sidewalk with burpees and merkins
  • IN THE RAIN

After a good soaking I took the pax up under the pavilion to dry off for a minute or two with some

  • 20 side staddle hops
  • 30 ww2 sit ups

As we began to take off I received a lot of mumble chatter from the pax stating how they wanted to stay at the pavilion and maybe do some wall-sits, so feeling generous I obliged and took them behind the pavilion for some wall-sits and an added cold shower all while reminding captain D “He Asked For This.”

We finally made are way under the train station and finished up with a good old Dora 1-2-3

  • 100 burpees
  • 200 squats
  • 300 lbc’s

We then ran back to the basketball court for the Name-o-Rama and circle of trust.

Neo led us out in prayer.

Continued prayers for Neo’s brother Gary as he recovers from stroke and also my wife’s grandparents (Bob and Jackie Harrington)

Moleskin- As much as I really wanted to hit that snooze and stay in the fart sack this ugly rainy morning I’m glad that I made the effort to be there this morning to embrace the hard things together. Thank you for the opportunity to lead this morning.

and Captain D “I’m Strong if You’re Strong.”
