Hi, Friendly New Guy!

What did you think FNG stood for?

We appreciate you joining us!  If you still have questions just ask any of the guys and they’ll help or point you in the right direction!

The key here is to keep waking up and posting, eventually you will get in the swing of things and get to know people.

What is F3 anyway?

F3 is a national network including 3,062 free, peer-led workouts for men. Our mission is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.

The three Fs in our name stand for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith — the last of which we define as not one specific religion or faith system, but simply a belief in something outside oneself.

We welcome men of all fitness levels to our workouts and have no requirement for membership other than that you show up at the appointed time and place and follow what the workout leader (the “Q” in F3 lingo) does.

F3 has 5 “Core Principles” for our workouts.

  • Be free of charge.
  • Be open to all men.
  • Be held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold.
  • Be led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary.
  • End with a Circle of Trust.

Tips for your first workout (We call it posting)

We do not show up at F3 for ourselves. We show up for the man standing beside each of us.

Here is one undeniable truth, we need authentic relationships with other men who are working to be strong fathers, husbands and leaders. Isolation will destroy a man! We have the opportunity to change our community and the trajectory of our families.  Getting in pretty good/great shape is a by product.  Lock shields with us and help us accomplish F3’s mission to invigorate male leadership in our community.

  1.  When you are first starting, it is important to remember to MODIFY as needed during the beatdowns. If you want to go harder – go harder. If you have not exercised in a long time, slow down. Don’t hurt yourself or even worse, get discouraged.   SHOW UP, work hard and give it your best. That is all that matters. We are not here competing against one another. We are proud of you for showing up at 5:30 in the morning to exercise!
  2. Read the disclaimer, then simply pick a place to post.
  3. Visit our 1st F page to find the workout locations to see what site works best for you.
  4. Bring an open mind and a positive attitude. Wear your regular outdoor workout clothes and, unless you have farmer hands, consider bringing a pair of gloves.
  5. If you are not meeting a friend at your first post, simply show up and introduce yourself as an FNG. You’ll be welcomed.
  6. If you’re someone who’s interested in service, check out and attend an F3 2nd F event.
  7. Ask us any questions we didn’t cover.
