Where the firetruck is everybody???

The weather caused some folks to stay in the fartsack.  After Quatro and I did the pre-run, we were joined by Striker, Hammerhead and Klinger for a random beatdown.  The Q called out sick, so it was a rotation of duties:

Q:  MIA

The Pax:  Quatro, Hammerhead, Striker, Klinger, Waldorf

The Warm Up:  Hammerhead lead the warm up after a lap around the soccer field.  Exercises included:

  • Arm circles
  • The squat
  • Good mornings
  • Windmills
  • 10 Merkins

We then mosied down to Graceland for the following:

  • 10 LBDs
  • 10 step ups – each leg
  • 10 LBDs
  • 10 step ups – each leg
  • 46 4 count American Hammers
  • 46 4 count LBCs
  • Skaters (at Hammehead’s suggestion)
  • 20 side straddle hops
  • The squat
  • Mucho Chesto – (at Hammerhead’s suggestion – which someone said “firetruck you”; who said that???)
  • 25 side straddle hops
  • Some exercises here (I forgot what we did)
  • 30 side straddle hops
  • Some exercises here (I forgot what we did)
  • 5 burpees OYO

We then ran back up to the parking lot to circle up and pray it out.

I know I called the PAX out in GroupMe; not to hurt your feelings or demotivate you.  My intent was the opposite.  However, if that was the result, I apologize.  I know the weather wasn’t great, but we get out there in the gloom to get better.  To join others in misery, mumble chatter, and be thankful for all that we do have.  I would argue that we get even better when the weather sucks and we fight through it, show up, and mold ourselves into better husbands, fathers, and pillars in the community.  What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
