Those Bears Don’t Care

15 Pax took the DRP this morning and got better.

The Pax: Chitwood, Napalm, Neo, Poacher, Captain D, Rafiki, Squeegee, FroYo, Meat Sweats, Bluegrass, Yonkers, Mad Bum (welcome back), T-Bone, Macho Man, and Roadhouse (Q).

The Scene: Moist with a heavy feeling of dread in the air.

Warm up:

Seriously, this is a 45 AMRAP.  Warmup was OYO.

The Thang

  • Starting at cone 1,  bearcrawl 25 yards to cone 2 and perform 25 air squats.
  • After the squats, bearcrawl to the left 25 yards to cone 3 and perform 25 merkins.
  • After the merkins, reverse bearcrawl 25 yards to cone 4 and perform 25 big boy sit-ups.
  • After the big boy situps, bearcrawl to the right 25 yards to cone 1 and perform 25 burpees.
  • Repeato for 45 MINUTES!!!

The Pax broke up into two groups and got after it.  A few random observations  1) I had no idea bears crawled so many different ways; 2) I didn’t like Care Bears in the 80’s and I still definitely do not like them; 3) having music at cone 1, doesn’t make burpees suck any less; 4) it’s not uncommon for me to have grass clippings down the back of the shorts after a workout, but the front?!?!  Was my junk hanging out for burpees or what? and 5) judging from the amount of chatter on Groupme, the Pax really “enjoyed” week 1. 

Two down, three to go…can’t wait to get better with y’all next week!
