I can’t think of a better way to kick off the New Year. The weather was perfect. In the Mid 60’s, the coupons were wet, the bridge a bit slippery, pedestrians wondering around aimless and curious of what was going on with the American Flag flying, the F3 mumblechatter, murder bunnies across the bridge, the bricks, blocks etc..

Our Cadre Roadhouse, kept the event going. We started a bit late as we were waiting for one family arrive. He gave no grace during this event. We started each lap together and time stopped at the 16 minute mark. Our Cadre had the whiteboard out and listed exact directions on each lap. When a question was asked it was answered. Here are the details of each lap.

  1. Ruck or Run for the first lap. It was said to be a warm up lap.
  2. Grab your friend (LBC) Little Baby Coupon make your loop within 16 minutes.
  3. Stencil the LBC. Ruckers took the stencil runners had the spray paint. Left the starting line in opposite directions. Work together to ensure everyone made it back before time lapsed.
  4. Drop your LBC. Get to the bridge and grab a large coupon, rifleman carry across the bridge. Stack the blocks to create the letters F & 3.
  5. Take off in the opposite direction grab your large coupon to murder bunny across the bridge placing the coupons where they were from the start.
  6. Leave starting line with your LBC. Upon return Cadre should know that your new frienemy has a name.
  7. Leave starting line and returning with a large coupon. The long way around.
  8. Back peddle with your frienemy aroud the lake without turning around.

Squeegee, Aruba, and Road Warrior led most of the laps with impeccable quality of time. Many fellowshipped, grew closer in connection with each other as the event got harder to complete.  Some was not able to complete due to time constraints and toughness of some of the ladder laps. But there were the few 10 that stayed for the entire event. We were thrilled to see new faces from other regions, families come together, men that have faced their own type of Chupacabra like chemical dependency and various other life controlling issues find a breath of freedom as we traversed each lap together.

Road Warrior claims to have caught the Chupacabra. His virtuous action to stick to the mission and accomplish something no one has done before, is in my opinion honorable. However, he stated “I let the Chupcacabra go”. Road Warrior mentioned that the Chupacabra was blamed for a lot things he didn’t do and that Chupacabra is changing his life. Road Warrior claims, “I gave Chupacabra another chance.” I don’t know if I believe his story or not. I do know The Chupacabra is still on the loose, we will have to come together again New Year 2024 and Chase Chupacabra again!

To sum this up. I watched all the 3 F’s come together in this one event. Maybe some have made a commitment to do better this year and get fit like Tackle Guard & Squeegee has set a goal to do. Also Observing the families of Flying Tomato, Aruba, Smash, Roadhouse, Mark, and Scandal grow closer as they participated in fitness and fellowship with one another. And last but not least having men and women reach in their pocket out of faith, to support a life changing treatment center. It is more than a workout!

F3 Sandhills will perpetually grow in 2023. However there is still much work to be done. Jesus said it right, “the harvest is ripe and the workers are few” that is still true today. I’ve had the privilege of being part of this movement. Now its up to me and you to keep the momentum.

Are you ready to Invigorate other men to lead?

In Sky Q’s Hand,

Rafiki

AYE!
