Blood, Sweat, and Jump Ropes

A much better turn out this morning for the workout.  Thank you for showing up.  If you didn’t show up…we did sh!t, and you missed it.  If you were out of town, I get it, but if you let the ole fartsack win…get up next time.  We miss you.

Warm up

  • Lap around the block
  • Grass getters
  • Windmills
  • Arm circles
  • Merkin
  • LBDs
  • Step ups

The Thing

  • 50 seconds on / 10 second rest – 3 rounds of each
    • Squats
    • Lunges
    • SSH
    • Burpees
    • American Hammers
  • Mosey with you new best friend…your jump rope
    • Partner up and one runs up the hill, while one jumps rope
    • Flapjack
    • Partner crabwalks to a specific location and bear crawls back
    • Flapjack
    • Partner up and one runs up the hill, while one jumps rope

Back to the basketball court to finish with some stretching and join up with Gumby

Prayer requests for McFly’s family.  Dockers prayed us out.

Attitude

Today Taco Cat inspired me.  Every time an exercise was announced today, he was so freaking excited about it.  Genuinely excited.  It reminded me that I need to take a similar approach to some of the crap that has been getting me down.  So for those of you that were there today, remember the response he had when stuff got difficult or uncomfortable.  It might make the thing that sucks…suck a little less.
