Better Than Spartans

PAX: Bowtie, Moneyball, Magic, Napalm, Kirby, Taco Cat, Mcfly, Jigsaw, McQueen, Scout

QIC: Froyo
11 Pax gathered in the mild gloom of a Saturday to get sharpen one another.
Warmup:  All the good stuff to get us moving, to include moroccan night clubs.
The thang:  Mosey down to train station where the highlight was merkin builders (people really love these), and also monkey humpers with an audience of about 6, including an older gal who had quite a show, I’m sure.
Back to the field where the Farmer’s Market was getting set up.  It was time for the Spartan.  30 rounds of: sprint down, 10 merkins, walk back.
I should say, 30 was the design.  If you ask Kirby, we did 36 rounds; if you ask McFly and Taco Cat, we were stuck at 28 and never quite got there.
But we did!
Wrapped up with Mary festivities and some broga.
COT, prayers for Magic and his ministry in Guatemala. Great to see Magic and Bowtie back in the gloom, and to have Bluegrass still bringing the rookie of the year heat.
Moleskin:
“If, as Herod, we fill our lives with things, and again with things; if we consider ourselves so unimportant thay we must fill every moment of our lives with action, when will we have time to make the long, slow journey across the desert as did the magi? Or sit and watch the stars as did the shepherds? Or brood over the coming of the child as did Mary? For each one of us there is a desert to travel, a star to discover, and a being within ourselves to being to life.”
