Two is better than one…..

Figuring the Pax count would be unusually low, since most of the Sandhill’s Men of Iron were preparing for the Weymouth 100K, I had set expectations low.  As 6:30 rolled around and no one showed YHC thought I would be going the post alone.  Alas, when I came in from my loop around the Broads Magic was waiting!!! And so it began.

QIC: Squirrel     The Pax:  Magic

THE THANG:  Starting with SSH and dropping right into some Merkins to get the blood flowing.  Which, once it was flowing made YHC eye throb like mad.  We mozey’d around the park and back to:

  • 40 Reverse lunges
  • 40 Lunges
  • 40 Squats
  • 20 Merkins
  • 20 Derkins
  • 20 incline Merkins
  • 20 more Merkins

Having worked the chest we moved to abs.

  • 50 4-count Long Slow Flutter
  • 40 4-count Rosalita’s
  • 20 LBC’s
  • 20 WWII Sit-ups
  • 20 Big Boy Sit=ups
  • 1 minute Wall Sit

Finishing off we did some cotton pickers, calf & quad stretches and….oh what the heck 20 more 4-count Merkins to finish it off.

MOLESKINE:  One day, a man was walking along a beach that was littered with thousands of starfish that had been washed ashore by the high tide. As he walked he came upon a young boy who was eagerly throwing the starfish back into the ocean, one by one.  Puzzled, the man looked at the boy and asked what he was doing. Without looking up from his task, the boy simply replied, “I’m saving these starfish, Sir”.

The old man chuckled aloud, “Son, there are thousands of starfish and only one of you. What difference can you make?  The boy picked up a starfish, gently tossed it into the water and turning to the man, said, “Made a difference to that one!”

Let us remember our acts matter!  Even if only to one person.

To all who ran the Weymouth 100K, congratulations!!!  Great job men.
