Repetition with a Purpose

It was a beautiful morning to get better and 10 of us did just that. 

Pax- FroYo, T-Bone, Beano, Flying Tomato, Mc Fly, Taco Cat, Snake, Josey, Schlitz

Warm up-

Inch worms OYO X5

Arm circles X12 Flapjack 

Bend over reach for the sky Flapjack

Side straddle hops X20

Long slow merkins X5

Mosey to First Bank stage

The Thang-

Round 1

+All sorts of Plank variations while 1 man ran up the hot yoga stairs and back. Repeato until ever man ran. 

+25 Partner assisted sit-ups 

+Elevated feet on stage plank while 1 man ran up the hot yoga stairs and back. Repeato until ever man ran. 

+30 Partner assisted sit-ups 

+Flapjack between holding 6 inches and Plank variations 1 man ran up the hot yoga stairs and back. Repeato until ever man ran. 

+There was going to be another round of 25 sit-ups here. Missed them and moved to..

Round 2

+Mosey across the street to train station ramp

+2 Men performed 12 horizontal pulls ups under the railing while everyone else held a V-Sit and air squats. Repeato until every man did pull ups

+Elevated 3 tier ladder merkins on railing from 1 to 3 

Return to Basketball courts for Cool down

Runners lunge

Windmills X12

Held plank until others joined COT

Moleskin- Thank you for allowing me to lead you this morning. I hope everyone got something out of it.

Todays workout was full of Repetition. It was not due to lack of creativity but was for the purpose of Self-Discipline.

When we are out here it is You vs You. When doing hard things it is very easy to allow our Minds to tell us to quit, slow down, walk, take it easy, modify when not needed, etc.

The Body is telling the Mind I feel pain from this Plank. The Mind then tells the Heart- You are causing us pain – Stop! Through the Repetition of Hard things and pushing yourself, you teach the Mind and Body to adapt and grow. In turn you get stronger. It takes Self- Discipline to continue to push through. 

The better You are the better the Team is. 

 

Challenge-

I have 3 Challenges for US today. I know its Repetitive.

  1. I Challenge each of Us to reach out to someone you have not seen at a workout in a while. You never know what someone may be fighting.

        2. Challenge US to begin/continue to see ourselves as a Part of a Whole. #Better Together
