Scout led the Pax out in prayer.
YHC was very glad to be back out in the gloom this morning and see several brothers I haven’t seen nearly enough of over the past few months.
It was especially good to see Scout although I didn’t hear the latest bad dad joke (Scout you have to come back Thursday prepared in this department). Also Tclaps to Ostertag on taking the DRP on his 4th anniversary of his first post.
We have a special community of men at F3 Sandhills and the men in our Pax have transformed my life and sharpened me into a better husband, father and leader in our community. Having been around since the launch five years ago, I’ve noticed a trend where Pax attendance wains considerably each summer (with the notable exception of 2015 when we took off). Certainly this has something to do with travel schedules, but I think there is more to it than that.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another. And all the more as you see the day approaching.
Complacency is how good things erode. YHC is guilty of taking my blessings for granted including my wife and children , my freedom, and my brothers.
Men, we need to be at war against complacency. If F3 has truly been transformational in our lives, do our actions (posts, F2 and F3 participation, reaching out to Pax, helping our brothers out) reflect our stated convictions?
I challenge each of us to:
1) Commit to Q a workout in July or August
2) Call a brother up you haven’t seen in a while to see how he’s doing
3) Invite an FNG to post in July or August
Let’s not take what we have here for granted men.
