Moleskin: Mark 10:45 is considered to be one of, if not the, key verses for Mark. It answers the question that is begged as you read through Marks gospel : who is this man? He does some pretty amazing things, who in the world is he?? If today’s workout has served to plant it in your mind with any permanence, then allow yourself to consider that question. Who is Jesus? Take some time this month to discover that. Check out “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel if you haven’t yet. Solid read. The Bible is pretty clear on who he is, the question remains for you and me as to what we do with him. Jesus said that he and God were “one,” so how we answer the question should affect the way we see God and the world. As you discover and rediscover him, remember what Mark wrote: Jesus came not to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for the many. Read the verses before that and see the context : If you want to be great, then serve others. Jesus walked the walk, it’s not just talk!
