3 Years of Gloom… I wouldn’t have it any other way!

YHC used to be a lot better at writing backblasts in the old region.  New job, new routine, new excuses.  I need to be better.  I figured that since this was to commemorate 3 years of being a part of this thing called F3, it was a good time to get back on the old BB horse!  I’m pretty sure I should have paddled to the workout this morning instead of driving, but I and 7 others made it successfully and got better because of it.  Here’s what we did:

Cold, wet and miserable at 0530 so lets get after it.  I did throw the mission statement out there just to prove that I have learned something in the last 3 years.  A mosey lap around the track and circle up for:
SSH x 15 IC
Good Mornings x 5 IC
Imperial Walkers x 10 IC
Arm circles fwd x 10 IC
Seal claps x 10 IC
Plank jacks x 10 IC
Calf stretch L/R

Ok, that’s enough.  Time to get after it and warm up a bit.

The Thang:  3 Burpees at the start/finish line followed by a mosey lap.  PUT6.
3 Burpees, 6 Merkins followed by another lap.  PUT6.
Continue in this manner adding 9 Steve Earle’s (L-R = 1), 12 Jump lunges (L-R = 2), and finally 15 shoulder taps (L-R = 1) before taking it all the way back down to just 3 Burpees.  Always making sure the 6 was picked up before starting a new set of exercises/lap.  We finished right on time.

COT: 5 for the beatdown, 1 soggy, lonely rucker and there were a couple of runners spotted at some point.  Prayers for Poacher’s Brother and Sister in laws.  Continued prayers for Neo’s family as they can’t seem to catch a break it seems.  YHC took us out.

NMS: Well, it’s almost hard to believe it’s been 3 years in the gloom.  I can’t even begin to explain what F3 has done for me.  I truly don’t know if I would even still be walking this earth if it wasn’t for this “fitness group”.  I found F3 because of a buddy that I shared many interests with.  That one buddy was multiplied by hundreds.  I have made many many real, true friendships with dudes that I probably never would have even met otherwise.  F3 is one of the best resources to find a place to eat, someone to work on your car or house or even watch your kids.  I really is more like a family than anything.  And even when leaving my original family, I have never felt anything other than acceptance from my new group.  Thank you all for being the men I strive to be.  Thank you for being there when you say you will.  Thanks for the recommendations, the offers of help, the tables/tools/modems that y’all have let us borrow.  I feel as though I’m saying the same thing over and over again, which is silly because we all know what this is.  We just need to find more dudes that need it as much as we do.  Which is pretty much everyone.  MIAGD gents.  I love you all.
